Here at Johnson Family Lures we have designed a complete line of wooden lure kits that are ideal for every level of fisherman (novice, intermediate, pro). These lure kits are the same high quality kits we use to create our hand-painted lures and they are designed in a sequential series based upon level of difficulty. This allows you to start on the basics and progress to the most sophisticated styles -- at your own pace.

Top Prop Series (Skill Level 1) | $5.95 Per Kit + SH

This is our entry level lure kit for creating a top water lure. All the hardware comes pre-assembled, the lure body is sanded, the holes are pre-drilled and include step by step instructions.

Bull Frog Series (Skill Level 2) | $5.95 Per Kit + SH

The Bull Frog series is also a top water lure but requires slightly more advanced assembly skills. All the hardware comes pre-assembled, however, the sanded wood body has no pre-drilled holes. It includes step by step instructions.

Cranky Series (Skill Level 3) | $5.95 Per Kit + SH

Our third level of kit is a challenge for sure. The Cranky series lure body is sanded, however, the hardware is not assembled nor are there any pre-drilled holes, and it includes step by step instructions. The challenge comes in properly aligning and tuning the crank bait lip for proper tracking in the water.

This kit will most certainly put your skills and creativity to the test! It includes the three previous lure bodies (1 Top Prop /1 Bull Frog /1 Cranky) and has nothing pre-assembled or pre-drilled. Includes pro assembly instructions.
